The story of Pastor Ken Noah Otubuah, told in three chapters: the call, the ministry, the life.
Early Life
Pastor Ken was born into a Methodist family, and in 1993 his household joined The Apostolic Church, Ghana. A committed Sunday School boy from childhood through his teens, he was baptized and received into full fellowship in 1999, the same year he emerged as the National Bible Quiz Champion of The Apostolic Church, an early recognition of a deep engagement with Scripture that set the course of his life.
The Calling
His call to ministry was not a career decision; it was a commission, and it unfolded progressively, affirmed by the church at every stage. Entrusted with leadership in youth and evangelistic ministries while still young, he organized, discipled and mentored others, and came to the conviction that ministry is not confined to the pulpit but encompasses the whole transformation of individuals and communities.
Ministry Journey
In 2014, Pastor Ken was anointed an Elder of the local church by the Vice President of The Apostolic Church, Ghana. A year later he was appointed Presbytery Secretary and Welfare Secretary, while pioneering the English Service that grew into the Upper Room, the Apostolic Heritage Worship Center of the Apostolic Church Ghana, Ashaiman Central. In 2020 he was appointed Local Overseer of the Upper Room Assembly and subsequently called into the pastoral office by the Council of Apostles and Prophets of the Apostolic Church, and he has recently been inducted as District Pastor of the Ashaiman Central Apostolic Church, Ghana.
Teaching Ministry
Pastor Ken teaches the Scriptures with clarity and heart. At the School of Ministry in his local church he lectures in Bibliology, Missions, Evangelism and Discipleship, helping to shape the next generation of leaders. His preaching moves through the whole counsel of God, with a special burden for the letters of Christ to the churches in Revelation, calling believers to first love, holiness, faithfulness and prayer.

1993
A family finds its church
Born into a Methodist background, his family joined The Apostolic Church, Ghana, giving him a nurturing spiritual community from childhood.
1999
Baptized, and Bible Quiz Champion
He was baptized and formally received into fellowship, and the same year emerged as the National Bible Quiz Champion of The Apostolic Church, Ghana.
2014
Anointed Elder
His call was formally recognized when he was anointed an Elder of the local church by the Vice President of The Apostolic Church, Ghana.
2015
Pioneering the Upper Room
Appointed Presbytery Secretary and Welfare Secretary, he pioneered the English Service that grew into the Upper Room, the English assembly of the Church in his locality.
December 2020
Overseer of the Upper Room
He was appointed Local Overseer of the Upper Room Assembly and called into the pastoral office by the Council of Apostles and Prophets, and was formally welcomed and inducted, with his family, at the Welcome & Induction Service on Sunday, 6 December 2020.
This season
Inducted District Pastor
He was recently inducted as District Pastor of the Ashaiman Central Apostolic Church, Ghana, extending his oversight from the Upper Room to the wider district.
Family
Pastor Ken is married to his ever beautiful Rebecca, his beloved wife, companion, and trusted partner in life and ministry. Her love, grace, strength, and unwavering support have been a cherished part of his journey. Together, they are blessed with four boys, and they continue to build a home centered on Christ.
Education
Pastor Ken's studies span the marketplace and the ministry: a Senior High School Certificate (2002), a Diploma in Shipping Management (2006) and professional courses in business administration, communication and public relations, before an intentional turn to theology — a Diploma in Ministry from Apostolic Bible College (2018), a Certificate in Evangelism from the Akrofi-Christaller Institute of Theology and Culture (2022), and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Ghana Christian University (2025), specializing in Cross-Cultural Ministry. He is currently pursuing a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Theology at All Nations University.
Leadership
Leadership, for Pastor Ken, is stewardship. From the youth and evangelistic ministries, through his anointing as Elder in 2014 and his appointments as Presbytery Secretary and Welfare Secretary in 2015, to his appointment as Overseer of the Upper Room and his induction in December 2020, and now as District Pastor of the Ashaiman Central Apostolic Church, he has led by serving: raising workers, ordaining leaders, and building a house of prayer and the Word.
Vision
The years ahead are for raising, not resting: disciples grounded in the Word, leaders formed for service, and a church that hears what the Spirit says to the churches. With a growing heart for the theology of mission and cross-cultural ministry, Pastor Ken's long-term call is to serve as a pastor-scholar and educator, bridging theology and practice for the church in the African context and beyond.

Current Ministry
Pastor Ken currently serves as District Pastor of the Ashaiman Central District of The Apostolic Church–Ghana. He preaches and teaches weekly at the Upper Room, oversees the life and leadership of the congregation, and teaches various Bible classes, with a pastoral emphasis on youth development, mentorship and holistic Christian formation. Beyond pastoral ministry, he loves to teach in theological institutions and contribute meaningfully to Christian scholarship, engaging God's Word deeply and communicating biblical truths in ways that are relevant to the Church and contemporary society.
Author Journey
Letters from Heaven was born out of years of preaching and teaching the letters of Jesus Christ to the seven churches in Revelation. Again and again Pastor Ken saw how those ancient letters read the modern church, exposing busy ministries bankrupt in love and calling every believer back to first love, faithfulness and hope. What began as pulpit messages became a written voice: a devotional journey through what the risen Lord sees, and what the Spirit is saying to the church in every generation. The book publishes on 20 September 2026, with a foreword by Apostle Dr. E.N. Abebrese, and every copy purchased at the launch supports a donation to autistic children at Ridge Hospital, Accra.
